- The Hierophant - Tradition — Sometimes we have habits, beliefs, and patterns that were given to us by our ancestors or relationships we have moved on from. Maybe those people aren’t still around, but their ghosts can haunt us. In what ways are you punishing yourself out of tradition? No one is guilting you unless you let them.
- 7 of Swords - Skewed Self Preservation — a sword is handy on a long journey, and a second might be thoughtful back up, but carrying all seven leads only to hectic self harm and no ability to see what is in front of you. What swords protected you to get you to where you are today? Which ones can you set down for good?
- Knight of Pentacles - Forest for the Trees — Too focused on worrying over if his gold coin is shiny or big enough, he misses out on the pile of gold he just rode by. In what ways do you need to zoom out and stop pinching [maybe metaphorical] pennies? Sometimes the answer to a square-peg-round-hole situation is to just stop forcing and find a more easeful route. Pentacles represent the material and parts of life that are value. Remember that these cards were first created before capitalism took a hard left — your labor, attention, and energy are as valuable as your day job.
